Research 4

This post won't be separated into flash/graphic design portfolio sections like my other posts. This is because this research is looking at jobs in the field. I'd like to be a web designer but I'm not counting out any jobs that are graphic design. I don't qualify for all the jobs below but that's fine. Part of what I'm looking at is what the employers are looking for when hiring so I can try to tailor my portfolio's to show what employer's are looking for.

week 5

This week I continued to work on my portfolio. I have the outside dvd cover finished as well as several possible choices for the booklet cover. I'm having a harder time with that one but I'll be in tomorrow to get your thoughts. I'm trying to actually set it up like a real dvd case would be and not just a dvd case with a fancy cover. It just seems more interesting to me that way.

For flash I've also been working on my portfolio. I started off making it like a control center out of some space movie but didn't like the way it was going. So then I just started over and turned my portfolio into a space fighter cockpit and I like this look much better. So far I have the ship made along with the background that is animating almost seamlessly (going for seamless but hit a wall and just decided to move on for now). I also have some of the navigation laid out.
