For my portfolio I did a bit more touch up editing on my images. Mostly though I did some more brainstorming for portfolio ideas and started sketching some of my favorite ideas. I need to see how well some of them will actually work with a real layout and brainstorm to see how it'll look the best. Also, figuring out dimensions with what I know about how big images can be printed double sided locally.
For flash I've done more testing with actionscript, and mostly failing. I found some really cool script that would allow the user to pain on the flash document which I would love to use. The problem is the good guide I found on this is written for as2 and not as3. So I looked and found a bit on how to do it in as3 but was not able to get it working. I think I've been trying to bite off more than i can chew with coding. I'm still new to as and I can do some of the basics but then I jumped right to advanced coding. After 2 failed weeks in a row I'm toning down my expectations for now and I've started to actually brainstorm on my portfolio. I still want to learn more coding but I'll just have to do a bit of that at a time while I plan and then just figure out how to use what good code I can in my portfolio later. I hate basically wasting 2 weeks and feeling like I got nothing accomplished so I need to start really planning the portfolio itself.
